Novel Themes & Annexes

If you’ve read the summary, you know a bit. You know it is a Sci-fi, Fantasy, Military Romance. But, you may ask, what is this story like? If I want to devote hours, days and weeks or months to reading something, I want to know what its themes are. What does it feel like? What are some stories I might know that it shares ideas or plot similarities with?

Well, here you go: if you know or like “Star Ship Troopers,” “Star Wars,” “Star Trek,” “The Notebook,” and/or “Titanic,” you will like The Last Flight Home (TLFH).

A nice feature of TLFH that these other stories don’t have  is that TLFH has several handy annexes at its end that help the reader keep things straight.

Can’t remember the military ranks? Use an annex. Can’t keep the dates of major events straight? Use an annex. Took a few weeks off and want a summary of the last few chapters you read before you start it up again? Use an annex. Are there a few too many characters for you to keep them all straight? You guessed it: Use an annex.
